"Pastor, I had a scary dream. I was eating something tough like meat in the dream. What should I do?"

Firstly, let's address your dream. It may seem like a bad dream to you, but it could actually be a revelation about your spiritual state. Feeling frightened after such an encounter is normal, especially if you didn't fully understand it. I've experienced dreams that scared me at first, but upon reflection and comparing them to God's word, I found peace.

Now, let me clarify: I'm not saying that eating in a dream is a good thing. It's just that not all instances of such dreams are necessarily bad. We know from experience that people's destinies have been manipulated through dreams involving eating. In such cases, it's unlikely that you'd remember exactly what you ate. However, if you do remember, it might signify something different. So, let's turn to some verses of scripture to shed light on your dream.

Hebrews 5 talks about spiritual maturity. It explains that as Christians, we should progress beyond basic teachings and grow in our understanding of God's word. Verse 12 points out that there comes a time when we should be able to teach others, but if we're still seeking basic instruction ourselves, we're like spiritual infants in need of milk instead of solid food.

Verse 13 emphasizes that those who stick to milk are inexperienced in applying the word to their lives, much like a baby struggling to open a drink. However, just as a child eventually learns to use tools or teeth to open a drink, we should mature in our ability to handle spiritual challenges.

Many Christians remain spiritual infants, continually seeking help from pastors or prophets for every little problem. While there's nothing wrong with seeking guidance, continuous dependency stunts our growth. Pastors are meant to disciple believers who can then disciple themselves and others. If you've been a Christian for years but still can't handle basic challenges independently, it's a sign of arrested development.

Verse 14 contrasts milk users with those who consume solid food. The latter have developed the ability to discern good from evil through practice. By engaging with God's word and applying it in their lives, they exercise their spiritual senses and become adept at navigating moral complexities.

Instead of relying solely on others for prayer or guidance, we should learn to pray, fast, and study the Bible ourselves. Through practice, our spiritual senses are sharpened, enabling us to discern between right and wrong. Just as parents gradually teach their children to use a knife, God sometimes allows challenges to arise, forcing us to rely on his principles rather than seeking a quick fix.

So, if you dreamt of eating spiritual meat, it could be a message from God to start applying his word independently and producing results. Alternatively, it might signify that you're maturing spiritually. However, if you still believe the dream is an attack, pray for protection and meditate on scriptures of deliverance. Trust in God's power to overcome any spiritual challenge you face.

I hope this explanation brings clarity to your situation and encourages you to grow in your spiritual journey.

Remain blessed in Jesus' name!

"Pastor, I'm young and not thinking about marriage yet,but how do I resist the temptations of this world and control my desires?"

I'm surprised that there are still young people thinking this way. Nowadays, satisfying the desires of the flesh has become common, even among Christians. Some pastors even promote what they call "Christian dating." But in my article yesterday, I made it clear that desiring a romantic life when you're not ready for marriage is a distraction from serving God. You'd be wasting your energy on something that probably won't work out. One of my followers who read yesterday’s article was relieved. She had been struggling with feelings for a guy, but deep down, she knew it wasn't the right time for her. She fought against those feelings until one day she realized they were gone. In today's world, where many people have lost sight of morals and decency, it's crucial to take strict measures to avoid being pressured into doing the wrong thing. Here are two things you can do: Be cautious of pleasure. Pleasure can weaken your spiritual strength and distract y...

"Pastor, someone mentioned that they love God more than their wife. Do you think God agrees with this?"

Love is a topic that touches the deepest parts of our hearts. It's what makes life meaningful, and yet, it's also one of the most complex aspects of our existence. In this discussion, we delve into the depths of love, particularly within the context of marriage, guided by the wisdom found in scripture. Let's begin with Ephesians 5, where the Apostle Paul provides profound insights into the sacrificial nature of love within marriage. He instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, giving himself up for her. This sacrificial love isn't just about being willing to die for one another; it's about daily acts of selflessness and sanctification through the word of God. In essence, husbands are called to nurture and cherish their wives, correcting them in love and praying for them when needed. This sacrificial love mirrors Christ's love for the church, which seeks the ultimate good of the beloved. It's a love that endures even in the face of ...

"Pastor, everything God said would happen in my career was going well until recently. But now, things have gotten really tough, and I feel like God's help is far away. What do you think could have caused this change?"

Unveiling Spiritual Insights: Understanding the Factors That May Disconnect Us from God's Help The scriptures serve as a profound guide, illuminating the intricate dynamics of our relationship with the divine. Within its sacred texts, we find wisdom that unveils the subtle yet powerful factors that can hinder our connection with God's assistance. Let us delve into these insights and explore how they impact our spiritual journey: 1. Vision: Proverbs 29:18 reminds us that "where there is no vision, people perish." Vision goes beyond mere sight; it encompasses purpose, passion, and divine calling. It empowers us to see into the future and advance towards our aspirations. Vision is not something passive; it is a proactive tool that we engage to impact the world with our calling and ideas. Without vision, even the most promising ideas may falter.
