"Pastor, since I started getting closer to God and showing my faith, my coworkers and even some of my bosses seem uninterested. Should I keep quiet about my faith at work?"

Navigating Unreceptiveness in Expressing Your Faith

Have you ever felt hesitant to talk about your faith at work because it seems to make your colleagues and even some superiors unreceptive? It's a common experience for many Christians who take their faith seriously. But should you let this deter you from sharing your beliefs? Let's dive into this topic.

Firstly, it's essential to understand that faith isn't just a belief system; it's a way of life for Christians. The Bible tells us that "The Just shall live by faith." So, if you're not living by faith, you're already off track. Your faith should permeate every aspect of your life, including your workplace.

If you've noticed that your colleagues were friendly and open before you started expressing your faith, but now they seem distant, there's likely a reason for it. The expression of your faith may be having an impact on them, whether they realize it or not. It could be making them feel uncomfortable or even challenged.

However, it's crucial to distinguish between genuine faith and arrogance. Some Christians mistakenly equate boldness in faith with arrogance. While it's essential to stand firm in your beliefs, it's equally important to show respect to your superiors and colleagues. Arrogance and disrespect will only alienate people further, both in the workplace and in life in general.

Consider the story of a former colleague who lost her job due to arrogance in expressing her faith. She would boldly declare statements like, "If God does not fire me, nobody can." Such statements are not only disrespectful but also unchristian-like. Remember, God resists the proud, and so do people.

But if your expression of faith is humble and respectful, and yet you still face unreceptiveness, it may be because your faith challenges the status quo. The disciples of Jesus faced similar challenges in the scriptures. Despite performing notable miracles, they were threatened and told to stop preaching in the name of Jesus.

Likewise, if your faith is producing results, such as a positive attitude, integrity, and diligence in your work, some may feel threatened by your example. They may try to undermine you or speak ill of you to your superiors. But remember, your faith is not about pleasing people; it's about living according to God's principles.

So, should you remain silent about your faith at work? Absolutely not. Your faith is not something to be hidden or ashamed of. Just as the disciples boldly proclaimed their faith despite opposition, so should you. However, it's essential to do so with wisdom and discernment.

Instead of being confrontational or pushy, let your actions speak louder than your words. Live out your faith through your work ethic, integrity, and kindness towards others. Be willing to engage in respectful conversations about your beliefs when appropriate, but don't force it upon anyone.

Above all, continue to pray for wisdom and guidance in navigating unreceptiveness at work. Remember that your ultimate goal is not to please men but to honor God in all that you do. Stay true to your faith, and trust that God will work through you to make a positive impact in your workplace and beyond.

In conclusion, don't let unreceptiveness discourage you from expressing your faith at work. Stay humble, respectful, and steadfast in your beliefs, knowing that God is with you every step of the way. Your faith has the power to influence and transform lives, even in the most challenging environments.

Remain steadfast in your faith, and may you continue to be a shining light wherever you go.

God bless You.

"Pastor, I'm young and not thinking about marriage yet,but how do I resist the temptations of this world and control my desires?"

I'm surprised that there are still young people thinking this way. Nowadays, satisfying the desires of the flesh has become common, even among Christians. Some pastors even promote what they call "Christian dating." But in my article yesterday, I made it clear that desiring a romantic life when you're not ready for marriage is a distraction from serving God. You'd be wasting your energy on something that probably won't work out. One of my followers who read yesterday’s article was relieved. She had been struggling with feelings for a guy, but deep down, she knew it wasn't the right time for her. She fought against those feelings until one day she realized they were gone. In today's world, where many people have lost sight of morals and decency, it's crucial to take strict measures to avoid being pressured into doing the wrong thing. Here are two things you can do: Be cautious of pleasure. Pleasure can weaken your spiritual strength and distract y...

"Pastor, someone mentioned that they love God more than their wife. Do you think God agrees with this?"

Love is a topic that touches the deepest parts of our hearts. It's what makes life meaningful, and yet, it's also one of the most complex aspects of our existence. In this discussion, we delve into the depths of love, particularly within the context of marriage, guided by the wisdom found in scripture. Let's begin with Ephesians 5, where the Apostle Paul provides profound insights into the sacrificial nature of love within marriage. He instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, giving himself up for her. This sacrificial love isn't just about being willing to die for one another; it's about daily acts of selflessness and sanctification through the word of God. In essence, husbands are called to nurture and cherish their wives, correcting them in love and praying for them when needed. This sacrificial love mirrors Christ's love for the church, which seeks the ultimate good of the beloved. It's a love that endures even in the face of ...
