"Pastor, I've had enough of these falls. What can I do to break free from Satan's hold on me?"

Resisting the devil is a fundamental aspect of our spiritual journey, as emphasized in James 4:7: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." This verse underscores the importance of aligning ourselves with God's will and actively opposing the devil's schemes. Yet, despite our spirituality, many Christians still fall into Satan's traps due to a lack of awareness of his devices.

The Bible is clear about Satan's strategies and schemes against believers. Ephesians 6:11 urges us to put on the full armor of God to stand against the devil's schemes, while 2 Corinthians 2:11 warns against ignorance of his devices. Without knowledge of our enemy's tactics, our efforts to resist him may be futile.

Let's explore some of the devil's devices:

Satan fights: Revelation 12 describes a war in heaven between Satan and the hosts of heaven. Similarly, Satan engages in spiritual warfare against believers, often manifesting as opposition in our daily lives. Recognizing that these challenges are not merely human conflicts but spiritual battles is crucial in resisting Satan's attacks.

Satan hinders: In 1 Thessalonians 2:18, Paul speaks of Satan hindering his plans. Likewise, Satan can obstruct our progress and opportunities, hindering our spiritual and personal growth. When we encounter unnecessary obstacles, it's essential to discern whether Satan is at work.

Satan steals, kills, and destroys: John 10:10 highlights Satan's intent to steal, kill, and destroy. He seeks to sabotage our dreams, relationships, and blessings, leaving devastation in his wake. Recognizing his handiwork in theft and destruction helps us guard against his influence.

Satan lies: John 8:44 portrays Satan as the father of lies. He deceives and manipulates, leading believers astray with falsehoods. Being vigilant against lies and deception, especially those contrary to Scripture, is vital for spiritual discernment and protection.

Satan deceives: Revelation 12:9 depicts Satan as the deceiver of the whole world. He employs deception to lead people astray, often through subtle means. Recognizing his deceitful tactics can help us avoid falling into his traps and maintain spiritual integrity.

Satan is the accuser of the brethren: Revelation 12:10 describes Satan as the accuser of believers, seeking to undermine their faith and reputation. He accuses us before God and uses people to spread false accusations against us. Rejecting his accusations and standing firm in God's truth is key to overcoming his attacks.

Now that we understand Satan's devices, we can resist him effectively. By aligning ourselves with God's Word, prayer, and spiritual discernment, we can withstand the devil's schemes and experience victory in our spiritual journey. May this awareness empower us to resist the devil and walk confidently in God's truth and protection.

God Bless You.

"Pastor, I'm young and not thinking about marriage yet,but how do I resist the temptations of this world and control my desires?"

I'm surprised that there are still young people thinking this way. Nowadays, satisfying the desires of the flesh has become common, even among Christians. Some pastors even promote what they call "Christian dating." But in my article yesterday, I made it clear that desiring a romantic life when you're not ready for marriage is a distraction from serving God. You'd be wasting your energy on something that probably won't work out. One of my followers who read yesterday’s article was relieved. She had been struggling with feelings for a guy, but deep down, she knew it wasn't the right time for her. She fought against those feelings until one day she realized they were gone. In today's world, where many people have lost sight of morals and decency, it's crucial to take strict measures to avoid being pressured into doing the wrong thing. Here are two things you can do: Be cautious of pleasure. Pleasure can weaken your spiritual strength and distract y...

"Pastor, someone mentioned that they love God more than their wife. Do you think God agrees with this?"

Love is a topic that touches the deepest parts of our hearts. It's what makes life meaningful, and yet, it's also one of the most complex aspects of our existence. In this discussion, we delve into the depths of love, particularly within the context of marriage, guided by the wisdom found in scripture. Let's begin with Ephesians 5, where the Apostle Paul provides profound insights into the sacrificial nature of love within marriage. He instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, giving himself up for her. This sacrificial love isn't just about being willing to die for one another; it's about daily acts of selflessness and sanctification through the word of God. In essence, husbands are called to nurture and cherish their wives, correcting them in love and praying for them when needed. This sacrificial love mirrors Christ's love for the church, which seeks the ultimate good of the beloved. It's a love that endures even in the face of ...

"Pastor, everything God said would happen in my career was going well until recently. But now, things have gotten really tough, and I feel like God's help is far away. What do you think could have caused this change?"

Unveiling Spiritual Insights: Understanding the Factors That May Disconnect Us from God's Help The scriptures serve as a profound guide, illuminating the intricate dynamics of our relationship with the divine. Within its sacred texts, we find wisdom that unveils the subtle yet powerful factors that can hinder our connection with God's assistance.
