"Pastor, I want to be more generous, but right now, I only give when I have extra money. Is that alright?"

Certainly! Let's dive into the idea of giving and its significance in the kingdom of God. You might think you have to wait until you have a lot before you can give, but that's not how it works in God's kingdom. Let's explore a scripture to understand this better:

In 2 Corinthians 8, we learn about the churches in Macedonia. Despite facing great trials and deep poverty, they still gave generously. They didn't let their lack stop them from giving, and they even went beyond their means to give willingly. This sets a great example for all believers. Giving isn't just about the amount; it's about giving your best, regardless of your circumstances.

Take the story of the poor widow in Mark 12, for instance. She only gave two small coins, which might seem insignificant compared to what others were giving. However, Jesus commended her because she gave from her heart, even though it was all she had to live on. This shows us that God values the intention and attitude behind our giving more than the amount.

Often, people who say they don't have anything to give prioritize their own needs over giving to God. But in God's kingdom, we should prioritize giving to God first, trusting Him to provide for our needs. This is why the concept of tithing is important. The tithe isn't just any ten percent; it's the first ten percent of our income. By giving God the first portion of our earnings, we honor Him and acknowledge His provision in our lives.

The story of the widow of Zarephath illustrates this principle beautifully. Despite facing a severe famine and having only a little flour and oil left, she chose to share her last meal with the prophet Elijah. As a result, God miraculously multiplied her resources, and she and her son were able to eat for many days. This teaches us that when we prioritize giving to God, He blesses and provides for us abundantly.

Don't wait until you have a surplus to give, because you may never reach that point. Giving isn't just about material possessions; it's also about giving your time, talents, and resources to bless others. You may think you have nothing to offer, but there's always someone in need who can benefit from your generosity.

I once gave away some old and worn-out clothes, thinking they were of no use. However, I was surprised to see the recipient still wearing them months later. This experience taught me that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life.

So, if you still have something to eat, you have something to give. Don't underestimate the impact of your generosity, no matter how small it may seem. Position your heart to always be willing to give, and you'll be amazed at how God can use your gifts to bless others.

I hope this message has shed light on the importance of giving in God's kingdom. May you be blessed as you continue to give with a cheerful and generous heart.

"Pastor, I'm young and not thinking about marriage yet,but how do I resist the temptations of this world and control my desires?"

I'm surprised that there are still young people thinking this way. Nowadays, satisfying the desires of the flesh has become common, even among Christians. Some pastors even promote what they call "Christian dating." But in my article yesterday, I made it clear that desiring a romantic life when you're not ready for marriage is a distraction from serving God. You'd be wasting your energy on something that probably won't work out. One of my followers who read yesterday’s article was relieved. She had been struggling with feelings for a guy, but deep down, she knew it wasn't the right time for her. She fought against those feelings until one day she realized they were gone. In today's world, where many people have lost sight of morals and decency, it's crucial to take strict measures to avoid being pressured into doing the wrong thing. Here are two things you can do: Be cautious of pleasure. Pleasure can weaken your spiritual strength and distract y...

"Pastor, someone mentioned that they love God more than their wife. Do you think God agrees with this?"

Love is a topic that touches the deepest parts of our hearts. It's what makes life meaningful, and yet, it's also one of the most complex aspects of our existence. In this discussion, we delve into the depths of love, particularly within the context of marriage, guided by the wisdom found in scripture. Let's begin with Ephesians 5, where the Apostle Paul provides profound insights into the sacrificial nature of love within marriage. He instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, giving himself up for her. This sacrificial love isn't just about being willing to die for one another; it's about daily acts of selflessness and sanctification through the word of God. In essence, husbands are called to nurture and cherish their wives, correcting them in love and praying for them when needed. This sacrificial love mirrors Christ's love for the church, which seeks the ultimate good of the beloved. It's a love that endures even in the face of ...

"Pastor, everything God said would happen in my career was going well until recently. But now, things have gotten really tough, and I feel like God's help is far away. What do you think could have caused this change?"

Unveiling Spiritual Insights: Understanding the Factors That May Disconnect Us from God's Help The scriptures serve as a profound guide, illuminating the intricate dynamics of our relationship with the divine. Within its sacred texts, we find wisdom that unveils the subtle yet powerful factors that can hinder our connection with God's assistance.
